Context
Paz Holandesa Hospital, a free children’s hospital in Peru, is launching an awareness campaign to educate the public about Spina Bifida.
Spina bifida is a birth defect in which a baby’s spine and spinal cord don’t develop properly, resulting in a gap in the spine. Although the exact cause is unknown, a lack of folic acid in the early stages of pregnancy is a significant risk factor. To reduce this risk, Paz Holandesa has partnered with SRDB (Studio Rejane Dal Bello) to develop a comprehensive awareness campaign.
Design
SRDB has created a visual strategy and design series that encompasses the hospital area, utilizing both digital and printed materials to inform the public about spina bifida. The campaign will cover the types of spina bifida, its causes, risks, symptoms, and prevention methods. By raising awareness of spina bifida, Paz Holandesa hopes to reduce the incidence of this birth defect and improve the health of mothers and babies in the region.
